HUGGER TEST FITTING & INSTALLATION TIPS & TRICKS
FITTING & INSTALLATION:
Spotting Screw Holes - After you have trimmed your hugger to fit, you can install all screws into the clear hugger which will enable you to find the screw holes once the hugger has been painted. Make sure you have the hugger fit onto the guitar exactly the way you want it before you begin screwing the hugger on.
PAINTING:
Paint Runs or "Fish Eye" (little holes) in Paint - To remove or correct imperfections in the paint, you can try and correct the area by dabbing with a little bit of paint thinner or alcohol. Be careful not to use too much. Correcting the paint, may require an extra coat of paint in the affected area.
Promote Paint Adhesion - You can scuff the whole inside of the hugger VERY LIGHTLY with steel wool or a scotch brite pad to insure propper paint bonding and durability. The glossy finish effect on the outside of the hugger will still remain after the inside is painted.
